A3 Design in LogoLounge Master's Library
Thursday, February 18, 2010 | By Amanda

LogoLounge: Master Library, Volume 1, is the beginning of a new series of books by the authors of LogoLounge, featuring the ultimate collection of initials and crests by category. LogoLounge: Master Library, Volume 2 is the second in that series and focuses its collection on the subject of animals and myths. This one is organized thematically with the broader focus of Animals and Mythology. The collection features logos that cover all categories of logo design, including typographic, illustrative, pattern-driven, and photographic. We are proud to have logos included in both volumes. This new series takes a more focused look at the infamous collection from LogoLounge.

With 8 logos from our extensive portfolio included, there is something for everyone created by A3 Design in this new book. Logos created for the many communities we branded for Mattamy Homes and DR Horton are included as most of them were along the lines of creative and decorative letterforms. A couple of the Griffith Chopper iterations were included providing the viewer with design options for the same company. One is a lowercase "g" that dons a devil tail and horns while another uses a flame to convey it's bad ass personality. A logo created for the Urban Architectural Group was originally showcased in an article by LogoLounge that discussed the trends for 2008. This logo uses the folding trend in a way that creates an environment of transparent walls with the letters. One of our most publicly visible logos, The Visitor Info Center for Visit Charlotte, brings a map basic to real life to create a presence on the streets of Charlotte for the once overlook resource. And last but not least, a logo designed for an extreme watersport group shows how you can use a combination of photography and vector images to convey your message effectively.

We are constantly looking for fresh ideas and inspiration. LogoLounge has continuously delivered that resource for us and many others in the design industry. As with Rockport’s other books on logos, this series has the same inspirational draw, with each volume featuring over 3,000 logos.
