Carolina Beer & Beverage Company of Mooresville, NC approached us looking to tap the increasing buying power of the XYZ generation. Previously their craft beer product line had a loyal local following with beer enthusiasts. Having only been labeled as part of the XYZ generation, our team is well versed in the language and understands what this short attention spanned group of people is responding to. "We explained that the legendary local craft beer had to compete on a national level with the popular brands on the shelf. That our generation is willing to try something new and always looking, but they are extremely brand savvy and that the product had to give them a reason to contemplate the decision." says Alan. "The products we choose to buy say something about us. We want to be fresh and original; something completely unique."
Updated fresh graphics and a premium presence gives the buyer a personality to relate to, built an instant trust in a unique product and competes well visually with national brands. The redesign met all of Carolina Beer's goals for the project. Aside from changing the process of labeling to be more eco-friendly, the redesign has brought about both an increase in retail sales in neighborhoods with a typically younger demographic and an increase in traffic in their Mooresville plant. The fresh label design has launched the Cottonwood product line to a higher level of regional fame with a new generation of loyal followers. The American Package Design Awards is a prestigious and growing national competition.
