Esquire Magazine January 2010
Monday, January 11, 2010 | By Amanda

The irony in the digital man's recent return to nature trip through the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, and the Badlands was mimicked in the editorial illustration we created for the popular magazine. Sifting through tons and tons of his personal photos from this amazing summer trip brought me back to road trips in the station wagon with my best friend's family. Wanting to capture the irony in this trip, we went with a retro style of the illustrative postcards that adorned the windows of so many destination souvenir shops.

In a time of text messages and voicemails, this reminds us of a time when we wrote letters and visited with nature. Using actual photos from his destinations, we created the Digital Man antiqued postcard. Check it out on page 32 in the January issue or online here: http://bit.ly/4PDHiv
