Our Story

The dynamic of a husband and wife team creates a devil's advocate approach that benefits every project. Every decision is questioned, debated and justified. Amanda and Alan head a team that continues to add value to their client's businesses with wow! experiences.

The king and queen of A3 passionately pursue a vision of providing effective communication through strategic design decisions and settle for nothing less than the absolute best. Their entrepreneurial spirit drives every project with heart and edge, taking creativity to places the client didn’t even realize possible.

Educated by well respected and brilliant design professors, Paul Bowers and Jan Conradi. As students in the acclaimed program, they got a chance to meet some of the most influencial design talent in the world such as James Victore, Stefan Geissbuhler, Massimo Vignelli and so many more. By the end of their university education, the two budding designers and newlyweds had developed an intimate knowledge of conceptual and process development, typography, design history, professional practices and communication theory and their integration with the social, behavioral and natural sciences.

Throughout their years working in large agencies, industry specific studios and support for one man shops, they have learned that what makes a project successful is equally the people involved and clear communication. It seems that would be an obvious lesson in business theory, but in a world focused on the bottom line and striking a deal, people become commodities and communication a billable item. At A3, Amanda and Alan are nothing more than real people, treat their clients as real people and get the same in return.

Working with A3 Design direct contact with the seasoned talent working on your project; The same person who knows your project intimately, who has done the research, can confidently and creatively advise you on the useage and messaging of your brand. The value of their skills and knowledge continues to grow and exceed client expectations.
