Empty Closet

After helping the Out Alliance create and implement their new identity as such, we helped to tackle a redesign of the longest running LGBTQ+ publication in the nation, Empty Closet.

Challenge:

With almost 18 months of market research and testing, the name the OUT Alliance was approved and we went to work on the design. Evolving that change starting with the masthead and evolving the brand from the Empty Closet to the EC was the second part of this challenge.

Direction:

Inclusivity, diversity and energy were our main goals as we took pencil to paper for this logo. Formatting the EC from the monthly newsletter-like newsprint to a lifestyle magazine that caters to our local community was the largest change.

Solution:

The format allowed for some creative execution of the content which was welcomed by the community.
